When I was but a wee art major in my first undergrad degree, I endeavored to create a comic strip to be printed in the campus newspaper, The Picket. This worked out for a few years, and I even surprised myself by surviving the switch from a biweekly update schedule to generating a strip every single week while still holding a full coarse load and working part-time.

I had a few characters I was kicking around in my head, namely the hero Kinnazu "Kinny" Swift, Stephen "Steve" Wolf, and Violet "Vi" _____ (don't think I ever granted her a last name) who was introduced as Steve's cousin late in the series. Their adventures are heavily borrowed upon my own experiences in life, as many things happened during my art degree that were comic worthy. I'm still inspired to this day, but regrettably I don't have the time to keep up with every silly, delicious tidbit that occurs (although I do think about returning to the strip quite frequently). Perhaps in the future, the glorious, shiny future...

At any rate, I have two years worth of material in the present hard-drive of my Compaq. Perhaps one day I'll get the gumption to scan the 2005 strips for those who really want to see them. Or you could ask to see the big, fat "Campus Critters" binder personally. Your choice.
